I don't know if the Pearse and Pearce clans are related. Pearce is my mother's maiden name. I think the came to the US not long after the Mayflower. Family lore has it that the Pearce family owned the Mayflower (always superior ). Was at a colloquium this week in DC (still in the city tonight), and Kevin Glick was here, too. We were talking about you last night and how much fun it is to work with you. I hope you make it back to Phoenix some time. Thanks so much for turning me on to How to Lie with Maps.
