Vlogging Naga Style

November 8, 2006

Thanks to the ever so wonderful Ryanne & Jay as well as Arun a great group of Naga youth have learned how to Vlog!

Below is a list of some fine first vlogs!

  1. Yoyo’s Room
  2. Neike’s page
  3. Wildflower
  4. Aliensos
  5. Nativesky
  6. Bangyaa
  7. Khuiralung
  8. PamPam - where is yours?

Some of the video’s repeat themselves (clik on them all anyway cuz some don’t!), and somehow SoSo’s is missing a video, and I do not have a link to PamPam’s!

Each person got to use a video or digital camera, learned hands on video editing, loaded their video’s into the Blip video hosting service, created a blog in blogspot and then inserted their video’s into their blogs!  Pretty dang fine way to spend my last day in New Delhi I would say!

Ryanne and Jay discussed the power of the medium, RSS feeds, showed the Video of the murders of a Tibetan nun and child by the Chinese Military that circulated on the Internet and explained how this video brought the crime to hundreds of thousands while only the mainstream media in Romania picked it up.  The video is also proof of against the Chinese Government who denies these sniper killings take place along the borders.

Turns out, that Ryan and Jay are quite renown in the video blogging world! Gulp! I did not know that before asking them to come and help out! And I am really thankful that they changed their schedule and rerouted their journey at their own expense to New Delhi to conduct this workshop.  They also did a workshop with kids at the Tibetan Children Centre and student videos can be seen here - http://tcvvideo.blip.tv/.

Vlogging Resources:

This was just part of the serendiptous activities and unitended outcomes of the WSFII and Air Jaldi Event!
