it is good to be reminded of fromm's contribution to thoughts on freedom and you remind me that i will have to go back and read marcuse as well now that i am older and have a more nuanced life perspective. really, what purpose is served if you judge others for their failings as humans ... we all have our weaknesses- you and me both. to me, in someways being disappointed in others is assuming a position of superiority because one does not know what a human will do to survive. just a thought. i have always resisted thinking about how others lack honesty and integrity and reflect instead on my own state of being and whether this is my issue.

" Etre ensemble
